Description
The ext3 filesytem has a limit of 32000 subfolders. For each pairwise comparison a separate subfolder is created to keep the data separated. This approach limits the scalability of the system.
Possible workaround could be conversion to ext4 which can handle 64000 subfolders. But this would require newer kernel than it is in CentOS 5 (>= 2.6.28) and does not really solve the problem.
